As you all know, Research in Motion has pretty much their entire state of relevance riding on their upcoming software and hardware combinations. TQ have done what we do, and kept you abreast on the latest and greatest from the Waterloo company.
As is commonplace in this day and age, any anticipated product is quite likely to leak in some way shape or form, usually involving a mildly grainy spy shot. This story is no different, as longtime BlackBerry news source NPBB has gotten their hands on what is believed to be an image of RIM’s upcoming L-series or “London” phone. According to CNET, the phone’s design was conducted by Porsche (yeah, that Porsche) and features a sleek and quite large touch screen and ‘gun metal’ colour.
The photo shows the home screen with several apps include usual suspects Facebook and BBM along with DocsToGo and Maps, which is a result of a partnership with Tom Tom (TQ was on it).
The L-Series is believed to feature a TI OMAP 1.5 GHz processor with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage. Another leak, this one from BlackBerryItalia.it features a video showing off the device’s removable 1800mAh LS1 battery.
