As you can see, the device is substantially thinner than its predecessors. Although the same width as the 4 and 4S device, the larger 4 inch screen (up from 3.5 inch) make the device appear narrower. The front-facing camera is smaller in physical size and has been shifted above the microphone at the top of the headpiece. The headphone jack has been re-positioned to the bottom of the device. The latest iPhone will also feature more robust speakers and a 16:9 widescreen.
The photos also reveal the device’s new metal backing, which replaces the current glass piece. A brand new smaller dock connector is also to be expected.
