It’s been almost two months since rumours regarding the next generation of the Samsung Galaxy Note II hit the internet. The device is a mix of both smartphone and tablet and has proven popular with users around the world. Samsung has managed to keep the wraps on its new product pretty tight and the phablet has not made an appearance in leaked images. As a result of this fans are getting quite exciting to see the next edition of the hybrid device that most probably will be called Galaxy Note III. To quench the thirst of Galaxy Note III’s fans, SamMobile and Techtastic has now rolled out the leaked images of its prototype, which according to the latest report has been shipped in very limited numbers for research and development purposes. Although the leaked image of alleged prototype of Galaxy Note III are not clear, it does give a good idea about the design of the device that appears to have sharper corners as compared to the existing model of the phablet.

Moreover, since the leaked images are showing the alleged Galaxy Note III in black colour, it seems that just like Galaxy S IV, Samsung may stick with the black and white colour theme for the third gen of hybrid device as well. As far as the famous S Pen of Galaxy Note III is concerned, at this point in time nothing can be said about it with surety, as the leaked images are showing the device from the front only. However, it is quite evident that the screen size of the device in leaked pictures is surely bigger than the current model of Galaxy Note.

If we give some consideration to rumours, Galaxy Note III will sport a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD capability, 13-megapixel rear camera that may have Optical Image Stabilization feature just like the high-end Nokia Lumia mobile. Rumour also has it that Note III will be running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS along with TouchWiz. To the extent processor of the forthcoming phablet is concerned, it may possibly feature a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that may be tuned to 2.3 GHz or an octa-core Exynos 5 chipset.

But the exact specs of Galaxy Note III will be revealed in September at IFA event in Germany, where Samsung will officially launch the new phablet. But for the time being, you can check it out yourself with the leaked image of the Galaxy Note III prototype.
