It appears that HTC has decided to follow in the footsteps of South Korean tech giant Samsung and recently leaked images have unveiled a new smartphone from the Taiwanese company that looks like a smaller version of its flagship device HTC One. If these leaked images turn out to be real then HTC will be the second company after Samsung that is going to roll out a smaller edition of its flagship smartphone. Prior to this, several reports have indicated a month ago that HTC is developing a smaller version of HTC One, which was codenamed the M4. So now all those reports are considered valid with the influx of the newly leaked images of a smaller edition of HTC One that mighty probably be called the HTC One Mini.

A close look at the leaked images of HTC One Mini reveals that the handset is almost identical to its bigger version, as it has got the same dual front-facing speakers along with a front facing camera to make video calls. Besides this, HTC One Mini appears to be as slim as its high-end version. The body casing of the smartphone is not clear enough to gauge whether HTC has used the same aluminium material to build its outer shell. However, it is likely that the Taiwan-based smartphone maker will most probably stick with the aluminium clad, which it has used in the 5-inch HTC One.

As far as other specs of the HTC One Mini are concerned, rumour has it that it will boast a 4.3-inch screen with resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a dual-core processor. In addition to this, the smartphone is expected to sport 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM and a 4-megpixel ‘Ultrapixel’ rear snapper, as per the rumours. Moreover, HTC has also made the new Sense interface available in the unannounced HTC One Mini that is said to be powered by Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS.

The stock Android version of HTC One will be made available for sale from June 26th and previous rumours indicates that HTC One Mini may perhaps also be released around the same period. The handset is expected to cost customers 400 Euros that is slightly over $520. Nevertheless, nothing can be said for sure at this point in time, as HTC has not officially announced the smaller edition of the HTC One. Therefore, HTC fans have to wait until the Taiwanese company makes things official.
