Apple’s usual secrecy about new products has made rumors about upcoming releases a hot topic on the internet for the past couple of years. This time around, speculation of the new iPad Mini has been gaining momentum with several large news outlets delivering every bit of information they can get their hands on. Even though Apple has not yet acknowledged the smaller version of their iconic and popular 10 inch iPad tablet, MobileGeeks has revealed that it has pricing and configuration information from screen shots of the inventory system of Europe’s largest electronics retailer, Media Market.

According to the report the new iPad Mini will have 16 different memory and wireless configurations. After a quick translation of the German language inventory screen shot it is also obvious that the image also reveals the price of the tablet in Euros including the 19 percent value-added tax. Customers will have to shell out 249 Euros ($322) for a Wi-Fi-only 8GB iPad Mini which is the starter configuration for the product. The price increases when the same configuration is kept with added memory of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB is added. At the top end of the spectrum, Apple will offer a 64GB tablet that has mobile services, 4G LTE that will retail for $650.

iPad Mini rumor have been hitting consumers ever since the first leak a 7.85-inch screen iPad was on its way. The cheaper product is expected to stem the gains that competitors have made by focusing on buyers that do not want a 10 inch tablet and prefer a smaller device. Some news outlets have quoted sources as saying that the production for the new iPad Mini has already started and the company has placed orders for 10 million units. The expected release date for the device is October 23.
