LG decided to compete against Apple, Samsung, HTC and Nokia after different Chinese smartphone manufacturers took the low-end mobile phone business away from the Korean company. As result of that loss, LG introduced its 5.5-inch flagship smartphone the Optimus G Pro in February of this year to take on the high end market. The gutsy effort by the South Korean manufacturer seems to be working well for the company and in 40 days after launching the Optimus G Pro in South Korea, LG was able to sell 500,000 units of the device. This was indeed a remarkable feat by the company, as it really needed a goo start to give its rivals a run for their money and Optimus Pro G is proving to be the device that will make a mark for the firm. Therefore, after releasing the phablet in white LG is now bringing the Optimus G Pro in black. The company has recently revealed images on their Facebook page and Optimus G Pro is looking absolutely stunning in the new black shade.
The 5.5-inch monster with a pixel density of 401 has the same glittery texture on its back cover that was earlier witnessed in the white edition and the Nexus 4 but looks more prominent in the black version. The LG Optimus G Pro boasts a Quad-core 1.7 GHz processor, 13-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front facing camera, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity and microSD card slot to boost it up to 64GB.
In addition to this, Optimus G Pro runs Google’s Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS. On top of it LG has recently added some new features to the smasrtphone by offering a value pack update. One of these value pack update features is Smart Video that has enabled Optimus G Pro to pause the video when the users takes his or her eyes away from the display and resumes it once he or she gazes at the screen again.
However, the big question that still stands out for LG is whether the Korean smartphone producer is really looking to make it big. If the answer is yes then, LG really needs to launch the Optimus G Pro in the U.S. and European countries. So it could boost the sales of the Korean company and certainly with these amazing specs LG should feel confident about its flagship smartphone, as Optimus G Pro can prove a game changer for the manufacturer.
