Nokia has recently shifted its marketing focus to the Lumia line of handsets, as the company is swiftly producing different models to cater both high end and medium tier consumers. The releases of Lumia phones has picked up pace especially after Microsoft released the latest Windows Phone 8 OS that powers most of the recently released models of this group such as Lumia 920, 620, 505 and others. However, now another Nokia Lumia handset has made a short appearance in front of the camera in a recently launched TV commercial for the Nokia Lumia 920 in the Netherlands.
This smart looking yellow handset from the Finnish mobile-maker was spotted in an ad by My Nokia Blog. The unknown device appears for five seconds and only shown from the back. The short glimpse makes it hard to judge which upcoming Lumia handset it could be but surely it was none of the smartphones that Nokia has recently announced because its design does not resemble any of the latest Lumia models. Although there is some similarity between this mysterious yellow Nokia phone and Lumia 822 from Verizon, the position of camera pod, tapered design and headphone nub are not similar to the US telecom carrier’s model.
At this point in time there is no further information available on this mysterious yellow phone therefore we can only guess at the details of the device. It could be a Dutch version of the Nokia Lumia 822 or may be a brand new device that the Finnish company will reveal at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2013. To know more about this mystery handset from Nokia we all have to wait for MWC most probably, when this company is also expected to announce its Windows based tablet.
Or perhaps we should wait for leaked information or images of the cell phone to appear online even before the start of MWC that would give some more information about this mobile phone.
Nokia has been struggling lately after losing massive market share to smartphone and competitors like Apple and Samsung. The device maker has also stuck with Microsoft developed OS for their mobiles and may have locked themselves into one OS while other manufacturers have found success with the Google developed Android mobile OS. The Lumia smartphone line has shown some sales but the Finnish company is still in a troublesome situation and will need to sell a lot more of their devices if they wish to stay relevant in the current market.
