Finally the much rumoured Windows-based smartphone with a metal body from Nokia makes its debut on Tuesday, May 14th when the Finnish mobile manufacturer announced the Lumia 925 handset that sports a 4.5-inch super bright AMOLED screen and an enhanced low-light camera which certainly gives it an edge over its predecessors. The Next Web was the first to get their hands on the new Windows 8 smartphone model and according to the site Lumia 925 not only feels much sleeker in a metal body but it is also an “interesting mixture of both luxury and durability”. The Lumia 925 is the first time that Nokia has produced a smartphone with a metal body but unlike its rivals the new Windows 8 phone is a mixture of both metal and plastic materials.

An aluminium frame surrounds the sides of the latest handset, while a polycarbonate is being used on the back of Lumia 925. The smartphone will come in four different colours black, red, yellow and white. In addition, Nokia will also make add-on covers available, but they will be sold separately. Moreover, wireless charging can be added to the smartphone as well. The new phone will also feature Nokia Smart Camera app that can take up to 10 photographs in a quick burst to assist users in getting the best shot. Here is how TNW has outlined some of the features of the latest Lumia 925:

“The hardware isn’t industry-leading by any means – it offers a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage out of the box. The 4.5-inch AMOLED display looks particularly impressive, however, and the 8.7-megapixel camera should provide exceptional low-light performance.

Combined with Nokia’s usual array of exclusive apps, such as Nokia City Lens, Nokia Music and Nokia HERE Transit, the Lumia 925 still takes the crown as the best Windows Phone 8 device on the market.”

According to Conversations by Nokia, the Lumia 925 supports following networks: “GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900, WCDMA, 2100, 1900, 850, 900, LTE 2100, 1800, 2600, 900, 800,” whereas the rest of the specs according to the site are as:
