ooVoo, a free chat and instant messaging service provider, is going to present its services for BlackBerry 10 that will be launched today.

Through the BlackBerry 10 platform, users will be able to access ooVoo’s services and get a chance to connect with family, friends and colleagues, and connect with up to 12 people at the same time. Research in Motion (RIM) is ensuring that it provides all the facilities to its customers through the BlackBerry 10 platform so as to make the new smartphone an instant hit. According to RIM’s newsroom, Jay Samit, President of ooVoo, explained how the BlackBerry users can avail ooVoo’s services. He said:

“ooVoo serves more than one billion minutes of video each month to subscribers. By bringing ooVoo HD video chat to the BlackBerry 10 platform BlackBerry 10 customers will be able to video chat and share videos anytime with the millions of ooVoo’s daily active users on virtually any mobile or desktop platform.”

Meanwhile, RIM has also hoped that its association with ooVoo will serve its need and impress its users. Martyn Mallick, Vice President Global Alliances and Business Development at RIM, said:

“ooVoo will be a fantastic choice for BlackBerry 10 customers looking for a multi-user video communications service that can connect them to their contacts on virtually any computer or mobile device, and we are pleased to work with ooVoo to help bring their service to our customers.”

The important thing to note is that ooVoo is a free service, but it will not be available at the BlackBerry World store immediately. Instead, RIM has announced, the service will be available at the storefront later this year.
