In September, FounderFuel general manager Ian Jeffrey and  Real Ventures investor, John Stokes will be on a tour for a week and will be carrying out a series of training workshops called the Pan-Canadian Pitch Training Workshop for IT Startups. “The tour will allow startups and entrepreneurs to learn from two of the Canada’s more active accelerator coaches. The PITCH IT Workshop will feature Stokes teaching participants “How to pitch for a seed round,” while Jeffrey’s talk will be called “Deliver a killer pitch.”

Jefferey says that they want to give businessman a chance to learn and for this they will go to a number of places that have been planned for the tour. Through this venture, they want to make  sure that entrepreneurs become able to run their companies or ideas in a more successful and organized way.

The company Founderfuel is undertaking this mission again after two years. During this time, they advertised their upcoming venture by going on tour in Canada. This venture gave a chance to owners to get an idea about the upcoming program and what participants could gain from it in a casual setting.

The program for workshops has been finalized. “FounderFuel’s Spring 2014 cohort is expected to begin on February 3 while October 15 of this year will serve as the deadline for applications. The cohort’s Demo Day should come around May 1.”

So, these two leaders will be involved in PITCH IT, teaching small startup owners the important skills that they have planned. Also, they will be looking for some effective companies that they can work with.

After trainings, all startups can then present their ideas in front of an audience and leaders from FounderFuel and Real Ventures. After they give their ideas, they will be given suggestions and will be mentored and their ideas will be made more workable and effective.

This is what John has to say about good pitching and how ideas should be. “It’s the foundersʼ underlying insight on the opportunity that shapes what a company builds and how it is marketed,” said John, Partner at Real Ventures. “Crafting a captivating story from that insight is a difficult process for many entrepreneurs, but itʼs what separates the good investor pitches from the great.” The schedule for the training workshops is that it will be held in Québec at Québec International on September 9th and at Montreal at Notman House on September 11th while at Toronto at Shopify on September 16th. After this in Waterloo at Communitech  on September 17th, Ottawa at Shopify  on September 18th, Vancouver at Launch Academy on September 24th and lastly in Halifax at Volta Labs  on September 26th.
