On October 29, streaming music service Pandora came out with a shiny new update for its mobile app for both Android and iPhone. The upgraded apps look are a tremendous visual update as compared to previous versions and make navigation intuitive and more efficient. The latest update from Pandora comes just after the company announced that it would be launching an app for Windows 8 Phones by 2013.
The new app has several changes to its feature sets but the most striking difference is the integration for social media. As an example, users can log into Facebook and can see exactly what songs their friends are listening to, display the songs that they are listening to and also discover new music organically.
Feature updates include a cleaner font along with a user’s radio stations on the start up screen making it easier to navigate to music. The app also lets users edit their profile right from the app so that they can fully utilize the social media capabilities of Pandora. Users can adjust around their security settings directly from the app so that they control what is being shared on sites like Facebook.
The updated app is already available on the iTunes store but will still be a couple of weeks before it is launched for Android.
