The popular photo sharing social network, Instagram, has not released a native app for Micrsoft’s Windows Phone app. As a result of that numerous independent developers got in on the action and developed their own unofficial third party apps to enable Windows Phone users to upload their pictures to Instagram. The most popular of these unofficial third party apps for Windows Phone is Instance. However, users are not able to upload their pictures through the app to Instagram any more because their pictures suddenly get removed from the social site as soon as they upload them. Due to this issue, Instance users are no longer able to upload their pictures on to Instagram platform, says creator of the app Daniel Gary.
However, it is not clear at this point in time whether the pictures are disappearing due to some technical issue or because of a move by Instagram itself in order to stop third party apps on Windows Phone 8. Let’s hope that Windows Phone users will soon be able to find a solution for this problem.
On the Windows Phone site Instance describes its product in the following way:
“Instance is not an official Instagram client and is not created, maintained, or approved by Instagram.
