Multiple sources had earlier claimed that Apple is going to introduce iOS 7 at its last event and they proved true in the end, as the California-based tech giant unveiled the new OS for its upcoming devices. Now different sources have echoed that Apple is going to roll out two iPhones during this year instead of one, as one of them will be the successor of current iPhone 5 model, whereas the other model will be an inexpensive version of the flagship smartphone. However, what makes the launch of the forthcoming iPhone 5S more interesting is that rumours suggests Apple will introduce it in golden tone. In fact to be precise it will be a Champagne colour iPhone 5S.
Besides this many reports have claimed that the forthcoming smartphone of Apple, the iPhone 5S will boast a fingerprint sensor, as the iOS device maker is looking to make its next handset more secure than its predecessors. The sources of 9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman has confirmed the rumour that Apple has integrated the fingerprint sensor in the home button of the iPhone 5S.
“Also contrary to recent talk, the new Home button’s design will not be noticeably convex. Perhaps the shape has changed, but the tweaked button is nothing distinct enough for the iPhone 5S to be identified as anything but an iPhone 5 by the untrained eye. There’s the possibility, however, that the etching and border of the Home button could become more shiny and look slightly different.
While the Home button looks mostly the same, the point here is that securing your phone will likely now become common practice. A fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 5S will take biometric technology to mainstream levels. According to Apple sources privy to customer usage data, a very small percentage of iPhone owners use a passcode. In our current world where digital security is becoming an increasingly important issue, it is likely that Apple hopes a fingerprint scanner will raise the aforementioned statistic. Nonetheless, the Settings app on the iPhone 5S is said to have a switch to disable the fingerprint sensor.”
However, the bad news for Apple fans is that iOS 7 for iPad is not going to release as per the original schedule, according the sources of Gurman. The reason for this delay could be that Apple does not have to unveil the next gen iPads and iPhones on the same day (September 10th). In fact rumours are swirling in the tech world that Apple could possibly delay the launch of its snext gen iPads in order to release them with next 7.0.1 edition of iOS that is likely to see the light sometime during September and October.
