Rumours have been circulating for a while now that Apple is gearing up to introduce not just one, but two smartphones this year. The first device is the highly anticipated iPhone 5S and the second one would be a low-priced plastic variant of Apple’s famous smartphone that will cater to markets like India and China, where cheaper Android phones are in abundance. However, so far this report has not received any confirmation but iLounge has claimed that they know how the low-priced plastic model of Apple’s iPhone might look.

The website has reported that a budget iPhone will resemble several different products from Apple because it is going to be a combination of a 5th Gen iPod Touch, iPod classic and iPhone 5. The report says that the plastic version of iPhone will have a front quite similar to iPhone 5, bottom similar to a fifth gen iPod Touch and overall design akin the iPod classic. It is also believed that the budget model of the iPhone will bear more curves than its high priced version, but it will not be as curvy as the iPhone 3G or 3GS. In fact, its front will be curved and back will be flat, similar to iPod classic.

The front of the low-priced plastic version of iPhone should be identical to the current model of the smartphone, but its display will be slightly extended, just like iPod Touch. Besides this, iLounge has also asserted that the plastic variant of iPhone 5 will also boast the Retina feature with an 1136×640 resolution and 4-inch display that will be covered by Gorilla Glass. But the sound switch and volume buttons will be pear-shape rather than circular.

Moreover, rumour also has it that all the ports including lightning, headphones, speaker and microphone will be built into the bottom just like iPhone 5, whereas, the shape of its bottom will be like fifth gen iPod Touch. But this does not mean that the layout of this low-priced plastic iPhone would be akin to 5th gen iPod Touch.
