South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has shown that it is very good at developing products that can be effectively differentiated to satisfy different market segments. The maker of the popular smartphone Galaxy SIII has successfully captured market share by creating both high end and low end versions of its own devices by adding or subtracting features. It is because of this very reason that today Samsung has an extensive range of cell phones and tablets in particular. That is why it is no surprise that new rumors are emerging claiming that Samsung is looking to develop a new version of its Galaxy Note phablet. According to MobileSyrup, benchmarking site GLBenchmark is reporting that the new edition of the Samsung Note will boast a display of 7.7-inch and it is anticipated that it will have the same processor (1.6Ghz quad-core) that Galaxy Note II currently possess.

It has also been reported that the latest device will have a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels with a density of 196ppi, which according to many is not good enough. Critics are claiming that a 7.7-inch display is quite large and for such a big device observers believe Samsung should introduce Full HD display in order to give an exciting experience to its users.

Samsung Note is is expected to be running Android 4.1.2 from Google. However, it is quite likely that the multinational company could upgrade it to Android 4.2 as the launch date of the product approaches.

Apart from these updates there is no further information available on the specifications of the new version of Samsung’s Note device. Nonetheless, it is quite possible that Samsung may showcase it at the International CES 2013 in January, but there are more chances that the South Korean company may wait and release the device in February at the Mobile World Congress.
