Microsoft has launched a billion dollar marketing campaign with the launch of its new Windows 8 operating system including it’s highly anticipates surface tablet and the Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system. Now that all the fuss has settled down, MobileSyrup is reporting that on November 15 Bell will be making HTC’s Windows Phone 8X available to Canadians. The top of the line offering from HTC is also expected to be coming from Rogers soon but no date has been confirmed.

The HTC WP8 phone will be an “LTE-enabled device that has a 4.3-inch 720p HD screen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 16GB internal storage, 8MP camera and a 2MP front-camera (both can capture 1080p HD videos), Beats Audio, 10.2mm thin and weighs in at 130 grams.”

The Canadian launch of the phone is only one day after the release of the phone in the US by T-Mobile. Any one that has preordered the device should be getting their new HTC phone by November 9 because they breezed through the FCC process. No pricing details have been provided for the device but initial reviews of the device have been good.

Microsoft is trying to create a strong app ecosystem with the release of its new operating systems. The makers of Windows are aiming to develop a platform on which phone, tablet, laptops and PC’s can run seamlessly. This is something that competitors like Apple and Google have yet to accomplish.
