January 30, 2013 will be a big day for Research In Motion as the company proceeds with the launch of its highly anticipated Blackberry 10 platform and two different Blackberry 10 smartphones. This will be the day when RIM will officially unveil the features of both its OS and smartphones live in front of a global audience. The hype surrounding the launch and its its significance in reestablishing RIM as a contender in the smartphone market has been stated over and over again. For its part, RIM has been making all the right moves to give BB10 a chance in the highly competitive sector. RIM has held several “BlackBerry Jam” sessions across the world, which are basically a one day workshop that allow developers to have a look at BB10 and how developing applications could be a money-making proposition.
RIM has also paid special attention towards their enterprise clients in order to win their hearts once again by launching a “BlackBerry 10 Ready Program”. This program offered numerous webcasts sessions along with one free of charge Blackberry 10 device to guarantee a smooth switchover to BB10 OS and devices.
And now the Blackberry maker is looking for smooth adoption. As a result of that RIM has once again shifted its focus back onto its customers by initiating “BlackBerry Experience Forum” on Tuesday, January 8. This will be a one day event and it will take place in different cities of Canada. The basic purpose of launching this forum was to offer break sessions and demos of BB10 in order to “help employees make the most of every business opportunity with the smarter, faster BlackBerry smartphone powered by BlackBerry 10.”
The first “BlackBerry Experience Forum” will take place in Toronto on Monday, February 4, while the second event will be held on February 13 in Vancouver and the third one will be organised on February 19 in Montreal.
But with less than 30 days left before the launch of BB10, RIM still has not mentioned anything about when they will make their upcoming devices available for sale. Nevertheless, rumour has it that the new BB10 devices are likely to be available within the first week after they will revealed on January 30, so the possible date of their availability could be February 4.
