RIM Launches BlackBerry 10 Ready Program For Enterprise Customers

On December 6, Canadian technology giant, Research In Motion, announced a program for enterprises called BlackBerry 10 Ready. The idea behind the initiative is to help enterprise customers set up their organization for the release of RIM’s new platform BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry Enterprise Server 10.

 

BlackBerry 10 Ready has four phases and two are ready for customers right away. The BlackBerry 10 Ready Offer gives enterprise customers one free BlackBerry 10 smartphone when it is launched it they subscribe to the Advantage Level or Higher Technical Support. The subscriber will need to first finish an online course that is given through BlackBerry Mobile Fusion before February 28, 2013 in order to be eligible for the free phone.

 

The second part of BlackBerry 10 Ready that is launching on December 6 is the BlackBerry 10 Webcast Series. According to RIM the webcast is for enterprise customers and the weekly shows will “share information, answer questions about RIM’s enterprise product portfolio, and prepare enterprise customers with the tools they need ahead of launch.”

 

BlackBerry 10 is expected to be released on January 30th and the last two parts of the BlackBerry 10 Ready initiative should be available before then. The first is the BlackBerry Enterprise Server License Trade-Up offer that lets current subscribers upgrade an existing license to BlackBerry Enterprise Service 1o. This is valid from January 2013 to December 2013. The last program is the BlackBerry 10 Readiness Service which is intended to guide customers as they move from their current setup to the latest Blackberry 10 setup.
