BlackBerry 10

Research In Motion is gearing up for an all out bash to inaugurate BlackBerry 10 and the Waterloo-based technology giant has confirmed that BB10 launch parties will be held in different cities around the world on January 30th, 2013. The lucky metropolises that get to enjoy the BB10 launch events include New York City, Toronto, London, Paris, Johannesburg and Dubai.

This collection covers some major markets for RIM including North America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Asia is missing from the mix even though Indonesia is a very big stronghold of BlackBerry and as RIM has stated before it is also a very important part of their future plans.

For now, there are not many details of exactly what attendees of the events will be getting themselves into but it can be safely assumed that BlackBerry 10 devices will be on display. RIM will probably allow members of the media and other guests to get some quality time with the devices and the OS that powers them. Most people are expecting that both new BlackBerry 10 devices should be on display along with a lot of news and app announcements.

The launch should create a lot of hype for BB10 and all the new things it can do. Hopefully consumers are interested enough in the upcoming models from RIM to either upgrade from their older BlackBerry’s or switch from their current devices.  The early 2013 launch of BB10 is considered a make or break moment for RIM as the Canadian firm has struggled over the last year against competitors like Apple and Samsung who have dominated key markets around the world.
