Research in Motion keeps on coming up with new exciting features to create hype for its long-awaited BlackBerry 10 launch that will take place on January 30 and is expected to bring the Canadian-based company once again in the limelight.

After years of uncertainty, RIM is all set for a massive launch for the BlackBerry 10, which has much more features than its previous models. In fact the new BlackBerry has been developed from the scratch and that is the main reason behind so much delay in its launch.

The BlackBerry was left behind in the smartphone market as its competitors started offering many apps. The new BlackBerry will already have around 70,000 apps at the time of its launch and the company will continue to add apps in its store.

This also prompted many analysts to predict a strong start for the BlackBerry 10. With just a few days left to the launch, RIM has come up with yet another surprise for its customers as it has announced to cut apps prices by up to 25 per cent.

Initially, the company has announced price reduction for the European markets and it has said to announce the prices for other markets soon. The price adjustment is made keeping in view currency fluctuations. Alex Kinsella of BlackBerry Developer Blog wrote:

“Currently, the lowest tier in the UK is £1.00. Once the price tier changes are implemented, the lowest tier will be £0.75. For Euros the tier will vary by country. For example, in France the current lowest tier is €0.99. With the pricing tier changes, the new lowest tier will be €0.89.”
