Gadget junkies in Canada can now rejoice as Rogers is offering the country’s fastest smartphone starting November. In collaboration with LG, Rogers announced that a one of a kind 2600 MHz version of the LG Optimus G would be ready for sale right in time for Christmas.

The device will be a premium Android 4.0 LTE-enabled smartphone manufactured by Korean firm LG and will also be the first of its kind in Canada featuring a Snapdragon™ S4 quad-core processor. Users will experience a number of added benefits from the high speed processor, especially during the use of mobile games. Compared to other smartphones, the LG Optimus G will have more visuals per second, smoother game play and HD resolution displays. Other processor intensive tasks will become smoother and users will be able to use multiple applications and features at the same time.

The LG Optimus G is not all about brawn and also has beauty. The device boasts a gorgeous 4.7-inch True HD IPS display with 320ppi high pixel density protected by a strong touchpad that will not break easily. LG has also put in a 2,100 mAh high-density battery that has a longer life and can easily support heavy use of the 8MP camera and HD video capability.

What may be the LG Optimus G’s most interesting feature is its ability to run with LTE download speeds of up to 100 Mbps and have connectivity on the 2600 MHz spectrum, which is a LTE Band. This allows higher speeds as opposed to other bands and gives unparallel performance when live streaming HD videos or downloading heavy files.

The devices will be ready for Pre-order from Rogers in October.
