When the world was gearing up to celebrate New Year’s Day, another report regarding Samsung’s next flagship device, the Galaxy S IV emerged on the scene. This latest rumour popped up from a report in Korea and has created a lot of ripples in the tech industry, as according to the new report next generation of Galaxy S device will come with a S-Pen.

Those, who are familiar with Samsung Galaxy Note I or II will be well acquainted with the S-Pen, as it is used to navigate Android OS in this hybrid device. This stylus was almost diminished, but Samsung gave it another life by introducing it with the Galaxy Note release a few years ago, which gave the tech world “a new product category”.

Now we may see it with Galaxy S IV, as an unnamed executive of Samsung has allegedly confirmed that S-Pen will be included in the next iteration of the wildly popular Galaxy S III. Moreover, this new report also made it known that the Galaxy S IV will be thicker than its predecessor, as its thickness is going to be around 9.1mm in contrast to Galaxy S III’s 8.6mm.

Earlier, initial rumours made it known that the Samsung will launch the Galaxy S IV in April 2013 and it will boast a 5-inch display with a screen resolution of 1080×1920 and 441 pixels per inch (ppi). The initial rumour also indicated that the Galaxy S IV will have a quad-core processor that will be running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean and feature a rear camera with 13-megapixels.

The validity of these reports will only be confirmed when the official verdict will be out till then we can just guess whether there will be a difference left between Galaxy S IV and Galaxy Note II if the next gen of GS series will bear an S-Pen.
