Following in the footsteps of top tech rival companies like Google, Apple and Microsoft, South Korean OEM Samsung has now announced its first ever annual developers conference on Monday, July 22nd, according to Techcrunch. The Korean tech giant also made it known on this occasion that the conference will take place between October 27 and 29 at the West St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. Holding the annual developers conference at the West St. Francis Hotel instead of Moscone Center is a new move and it is hard to predict what kind of response this first event of Samsung will receive.

Samsung has not revealed the exact date of registration for the event but it is anticipated that it will begin sometime later during this summer and expectations are that it will be a quick sell out. The most interesting thing about first annual developers conference from Samsung is that the Galaxy device maker has claimed that it is organising the event not only for people that are working on mobile, but it is designed for those who are working on “all divisions, platforms and device.”

It is expected that a major reason for mentioning that the event is for all people, could be that Samsung is now also paying attention to its other divisions as well and recently it has got hold of media streaming company Boxee in order to add more fire to its smart TV division. So a developers conference seems to be an ideal event to bring its other platforms to light.

“For Samsung this is a big step in terms of differentiating itself from other Android developers on the mobile front. Google already offers the opportunity for devs on its mobile OS to get together and see workshops and sessions, but these are device agnostic, and in fact cater more to developers who aren’t interested in one type of handset over another. A Samsung-specific event will help devs who want to target specifically the smartphones with the largest share of the global market, and help them build apps that leverage the unique capabilities of Samsung’s own modified Android platform”.

So those who are interested in participating in the upcoming developers conference of Samsung should go to its website and register themselves in order to be informed when the registrations for the event will get open. Otherwise, a swift sell out of the events ticket will take that golden opportunity away from them.
