On December 10, Samsung revealed details of seven new features for its flagship Galaxy S III smartphone after it had given hints about the software upgrade a week ago. The new abilities will be part of the Premium Suite software bundle and will help new users by making use simple and intuitive.
Features will now include a Setup Wizard and Easy Mode which will give quick access to the Accessibility menu when the device is first turned on. From there, users can add five frequently used widgets to the Galaxy S III’s home screen. The camera application will get a low-light shot function and an updated spoken face detection. There will also be a best face function which will take five images and allow the user to choose the best one to save.
Samsung’s TouchWiz interface is layered on top of Google Android operating system. This is a practice that many manufacturers that use Android on their devices follow. One of the reasons Samsung has been so successful in the marketplace is because unlike competitors HTC, LG, Motorola and others it has been able to provide software features that are ahead of the curve.
The new software updates will come out depending on the region and service provider. Galaxy S III users will need to check with their cellular operator to get details.
