Every Canadian telecom carrier has embraced the brand new Samsung Galaxy S IV smartphone just as the South Korean company announced that their device would be coming to Canada. After opening the pre-orders for the device, carriers in the country are now looking to deliver the handset by Saturday, April 27th to people who have placed orders with them. Those, who have not pre-ordered the Galaxy S IV, will now have to wait a little as it will be made available in stores on May 3rd. Here is the list of Canadian carriers that are offering the 5-inch smartphone to their customers: Bell, Rogers, TELUS, Virgin, Fido, Mobilicity, Koodo, WIND, Videotron, MTS, SaskTel and Eastlink. The long list of carriers clearly indicates that Galaxy S IV has a huge demand and Samsung might not be able to meet the demand on launch day.
In fact, Samsung Canada has even confirmed in an email that the Korean company “is excited to see the level of pre-orders that Canadian consumers have for the GALAXY S4. Samsung Canada had intended to ship pre-orders by the 27th, but due to the overwhelming global demand of the Samsung GALAXY S4, we will not be able to meet the pre-order date of April 27th for all customers. These orders remain the highest priority with carrier and retail partners and will be fulfilled in the coming days.”
This confirmation from Samsung was not surprising, as on Thursday, April 25th Samsung USA had rolled out a similar message. Besides this Canadian carriers which had opened the pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy S IV have released their own statements regarding the demand and launch date of the device. Below are the statements from leading carriers in Canada:
WIND Mobile said it “is happy to announce that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available in stores on May 3rd. The S4 is already proving a hugely popular device and pre-registration numbers are higher than any other device before, including the S3.”
Mobilicity stated, “Our customers are excited about getting the Samsung Galaxy S4. Pre-orders are being fulfilled early next week at the Authorized Service Centres, which were featured on our Galaxy S4 pre-order page.”
TELUS said, “Our customers are highly anticipating this device and we’re getting great responses with our pre-orders. At the same time, we’re working closely with Samsung to fulfil pre-orders as soon as possible.”
Rogers commented that, “The pre-orders and reservations of the Samsung Galaxy S4 have been great and our customers are very excited about the launch. We’re working hard to get the Galaxy S4 to Rogers customers who pre-ordered and reserved first. When you reserve a device with Rogers, you will be notified when the device has shipped and is available for pickup. If customers are required to wait more than 21 days to receive their Galaxy S4 device, they will receive a $50.00 credit.”
Bell says “Galaxy S4 pre-orders have gone extremely well. Some Bell pre-order customers may receive their new GS4 tomorrow, but others may take a few days longer. To show our thanks, we’re giving all our pre-order customers a $50 bill credit.”
Virgin Mobile stated that “GALAXY S4 pre-orders have gone really well. Some of our Virgin Mobile Members who have pre-ordered the GALAXY S4 may get their hands on the smartphone tomorrow, while others will have to wait a few more days. Our Members have shown their excitement for the GS4 and to show our thanks we’re giving all of our pre-ordered Members a $50 bill credit!”
