This time Samsung has launched a number of accessories with its Galaxy S series phone that range from different types of covers to S Band, wireless charging pad cover to head sets, extra battery kits to HRM, body scale and last but surely not the least the Game Pad. Samsung has introduced a Game Pad that is compatible with the Galaxy S IV but the price of the new accessory was not rolled out yet. The Korean company has provided the details of the Game Pad and according to the company, it’s an easy to use and easy to play device on the move, as it can connect with different smartphones from Samsung, which measures from 4-inches to 6.3-inches, including S IV via Bluetooth. The dual analog stick sporting controller is more like Project Shield from Nvidia, but it uses the S IV to display games.
The Game Pad has several buttons on it, which include four action keys and shoulder keys. Then there is the usual four-way stick that can be found on any traditional controller. Besides using Bluetooth to connect with the devices, the Game Pad also has NFC connectivity that can be used to pair it with several Samsung handsets. Apart from this, the new controller can also be used separately, as it can be paired up with the TV dock to play various games wirelessly which seems good at 1080p resolution.
The most interesting thing about Samsung’s new Game Pad is that it can support a device as large as 6.3-inches and so far neither the South Korean company nor any other major smartphone manufacturer has introduced a model that measures 6-inches. Therefore, it indicates in one direction only which is that Samsung might introduce the successor of Galaxy Note II with such measurement, as rumour has it that the Korean tech giant will figure a way to boost the display size of the Note III without increasing its overall chassis dimensions just like it managed to did with the S IV.
So it means that the users Galaxy Note II’s successor would also be able to play games by connecting this Game Pad with their device. It also means that Samsung is not looking to shy away from the two flagship devices in a year strategy. Given that this strategy enables the company to keep customers anticipating new devices by keeping the features, designs and materials of the previously announced models.
