The International Consumer Electronic Show, better known as CES is a major technology related show that takes place each January in Las Vegas. Each year several electronic companies take part in this mega event and use this platform either to announce their new products or conduct extensive gadget reviews.
The next international CES, taking place next month, will run from January 8th to 11th. During these four days people will see announcements and previews of various flagship devices from different electronic manufacturers, each trying to create strong buzz and momentum for the remainder of the year. Thus far, it seems that the most significant announcement being anxiously awaited for is going to be from South Korean smartphone maker Samsung, as the company has released a teasing video which states that we should “get ready” to experience “something new”.
This clearly indicates that a new product from Samsung is on its way, but the 18 second long video did not expose anything about the new device. Observers are of the view that though the video released by Samsung has themes related to Galaxy, it is too early for the South Korean manufacturer to announce the Galaxy S IV because the company released the popular S III in May, less than one year ago.
Moreover, the flood of words featured in the ad: ideas, innovation, technology, design, wonder, dreams and the future also hints that the upcoming device would not be a mobile. Nothing is for sure yet, so let’s wait and see what Samsung will bring out of its box this time as it sets to outdo its record-breaking 2012 year. For now, enjoy the obscure teaser video from Samsung below.
