When Samsung released their much anticipated third generation Galaxy S device back in May, the company foretold that they would sell more than 30 million units of S III by the end of this year as Samsung’s IT and Mobile chief Shin Jong-kyun proclaimed the following “The Galaxy S III is expected to sell more than 30 million units within this year.”

This forecast from the Korean mobile manufacturer not only came true, the company exceeded sales expectations as Samsung declared in their recent post that they had successfully sold over 30 million units of Galaxy S III by the beginning of November.

Given the holiday season and propensity for people to purchase phones at year end, Samsung has a strong chance of selling 40 million units of Galaxy S III during 2012, as November and December are still largely for the taking.

The South Korean manufacturer had sold 20 million units of Galaxy S III from May to September, and then came on strong by adding another 10 million units in the next two months to cross the 30 million mark, making 40 million units a real possibility..

This was not the only good news that Samsung had to celebrate this month, as another one of their devices also registered tremendous sales totals. According to the reports, over 3 million units of the Samsung Galaxy Note II were sold within just 37 days of its release, which means that this new hybrid device is also well on its way to beat the sales record of its predecessor, which currently stands at 10 million units.

Despite of losing a big chunk of its revenue to Apple in the recent law suit, Samsung still has been able to seize a tremendous amount of success during this year by registering record profits, creating strong products and innovating at a rate that may be the best in the business.
