Samsung New Watch like Phone in Market Soon

Samsung has said to introduce a wristwatch-like phone named the Galaxy Gear by September 4 of this year. From this wristwatch like device you can make phone calls, send messages and also surf the web.

 

After Galaxy S4, Samsung is now launching its phone, two days before the Berlin’s consumer electronics show. The new Samsung Galaxy Gear will be powered by Google’s Android operating system. The phone has all the capabilities of competing product from Apple.

 

Samsung grabbed the entire technology market soon after the launch of Samsung Galaxy S4. Now the company is trying to maintain its lead and stay ahead of other electronics makers, including Sony Corp. This year the estimated sale of the global watch industry will be more than $60 billion, and Samsung will become the first company to sell multitask devices could attract customers towards the company. The sales of a smartphone, tablets and TVs will increase.

 

“It will carve a niche for sure as this is an initial product in the market,” said Chung Chang Won, an analyst at Nomura Holdings Inc. in Seoul. “Wearable devices could be one of the trends in the Smartphone market, but I’m not sure yet whether watches or glasses will set the trend.”

 

As the Galaxy Gear will be launching next month therefore, the company won’t have time for flexible display. The company is working continuously on designing a bendable screen, according to reports. The company unveiled the Galaxy Gear same day as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3.
