When millions of users will tune into watch Super Bowl XLVII matchup between San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens on February 03, they will be able to instantly share their game-time feelings, thanks to a special app Swipp has created for the championship game.
While the viewers generally share their thoughts and comments about the game on many social networks, Swipp has presented a platform targeting only one particular game. Those who use this app can share comments about teams, referees and other related aspects and get to know what others are thinking about those topics.
The Next Web quoted Swipp co-founder Charlie Costantini as saying:
“The evolution of the second screen is giving people the opportunity to connect around the shows they watch. I’m constantly texting my brothers or friends during the game and the Swipper Bowl site allows me to rant and rave about everything, including the commercials, with a super simple interface during the Biggest Game of the year.”
This time Super Bowl matchup is featuring teams coached by two brothers. Jim Harbaugh, who took the 49ers to NFC championship game in his first year last season, will be against John Harbaugh, who has trained the Ravens quite impressively.
Super Bowl ads also create a lot of hype for many reasons including their cost and casting, and the people using Swipp’s new app will also be able to select a separate screen designated only to discuss these ads. Apart from discussing teams, refs and ads separately on different screens, the users will have one more screen where they can comment about miscellaneous things.
