TQ had reported earlier that LG has “allegedly moved up the release date” of its next flagship smartphone Optimus G Pro over the launch rumours of Samsung Galaxy S IV that is expected to see the first light in the middle of March. Although, Samsung so far has not confirmed this report, the way things are moving it seems that the aforementioned rumour could be true. With the passage of time more and more news related to the launch of Samsung’s next gen mobile device are emerging on the scene. The latest claim in this regard came from a tech analyst of Jefferies, Peter Misek, who had stated that Samsung is preparing for a big launch of its flagship device, the Galaxy S IV or whatever else it will be called.
According to BusinessInsider Misek also said that this launch is so huge that “it could pull resources away from Apple.” Misek has came to know about this information from his sources, who also told him that Samsung is looking to make 100 million Galaxy S IVs from its launching date till the end of 2013. The Jefferies’ analysts also believe that Samsung will launch this next gen smartphone sometime during next month or April.
Misek also wrote in his report that, “The enormous 100 million S4 build plan (we estimate the S3 sold 60M) is leading some suppliers to say that they will reallocate resources away from Apple. The S3 also had enormous builds and came within 10% of meeting them on an annual basis.”
On the other hand, Apple, as per Misek, is reducing the orders of its famous handset the iPhone 5 for the reason that suppliers say its sales are slowing down more swiftly than was anticipated. The analyst also said that the Cupertino-based company was looking to launch a 4.8-inch iPhone during this year, but its manufacturers are facing issues in developing the display Apple wants. Therefore, it is not likely that the 4.8-inch iPhone will make its debut in this year, so Apple may also wait till its new iOS based operating system gets ready.
To the extent Galaxy S IV’s development is concerned, it seems that unlike Apple, Samsung has been able to come over all the glitches, as the rumoured screen size of this device is 4.99-inch that boasts a full 1080p HD Super AMOLED display. Moreover, it is also expected that the latest 1.8GHz Exynos 5 Octa 8-core processor may also see the first light in the S IV that would also feature a 13 mega pixel rear camera and 2 mega pixel front camera. As far as internal memory is concerned it may be released in three capacities 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
However, the most anticipated feature of S IV that many people would love to see is “no contact gestures” which means that users would not need to physically touch the screen of this next gen mobile, as they can swipe the display, click right, left, flip object and do lot more with just gestures.
