Several leaked reports regarding the much rumoured Sony i1 Honami have surfaced online so far and thanks to its 20-megapixel rear camera, the forthcoming smartphone has become a hit even before its release. However, the Japanese OEM, Sony, is not producing one smartphone under the Honami brand and the latest reports indicates that the electronics manufacturer is also working on a Z1 Honami handset. In fact according to the latest update the Android-based Sony Z1 Honami has already reached the hands of testers, who are closely examining the smartphone. And one of the testers has even shared some information regarding the Sony Z1 Honami, of which some might not be new as they have already leaked over the internet.

The tester has confirmed that Sony Z1 Honami has a 5″ Triluminous panel, but in contrast to the latest Z Ultra phablet the display of the smartphone looks quite poor. But in order to have a clear idea about display and resolution of Sony Z1 Honami, we require some more reviews.

To the extent camera on the device is concerned the tester says that although it is branded as G Lens, but it failed to inspire him, as there was no “wow factor” in it. Nevertheless, again one cannot pass any judgement on the camera results of Sony Z1 Honami at this point in time, as there are not enough proofs, as the smartphone has yet to make its debut.

What makes tester’s findings more suspicious was that he found Sony Z1 Honami more heavy in comparison to the previously leaked reports, as according to him it weighs about 190 grams. Here is what the tester has revealed about the device:

“The metal power button is so much smaller than the one on Z and the phone is a bit heavy. Almost same weight as Z ultra… 5″ and almost same weight as Z Ultra (which is thinner), I guess it’s the battery. Yes it’s thicker, similar to Z.

It’s brighter and more white than Z/V. And also X-Reality colors are not as saturated as Bravia Engine 2. Z Ultra display is better with richer colors and contrast although both are using the same screen. I just did a comparison side by side with Z Ultra. Z Ultra is much better whereas Honami is whiter/brighter. But take it with a grain of salt as I think the firmware in Honami is old.

Tried the camera, nothing to be wow about seriously. There’s this bo liao app where you can take AR effect like a 3D dinosaur/fairies in the backdrop lol.”
