Time is precious, even more than money. That is why you will see a number of books and articles on the topic of managing time effectively, but what has been observed is that the time management tips provided by one person must not necessarily assist another person. This is because everyone has different schedule and commitments. Still, there is a broad guideline that could help beginners to manage their time effectively and as they carry on with their work they can further alter those methods as per their schedule.

We have got some tips from Charlotte Siems, via Kimgarst, about effectively using time. Charlotte is a mother, wife, author, speaker, trainer and much more. She learned some time management tactics by managing her large family and utilised them when she started her own business. She has provided some tips that can help you learn time management in short time.

Know the importance of ten minutes and act as if you only have ten minutes to complete any task. This will help you do some work that you have been planning on doing but could not start. Knowing you only have ten minutes to carry out that job might make you feel the sense of urgency to complete that task.

If you are able to realise the importance of these ten minutes you might also learn that it is your own will that makes you do anything. You can follow this routine daily and when you finish your work you will feel a sense of pride and achievement, daily. Since you can take these ten minutes out of your daily schedule rather easily, you can plan your work while carrying out other duties. Charlotte says:

“Spend ten minutes scheduling Social Media posts, writing part of a blog article or optimizing SEO on past posts, all between finishing lunch and loading the dishwasher. This is how I’ve managed to get a lot done over the years!”

Remember, the ten-minute factor will not take care of all of your burdens. It will not fulfil all of your goals either, but the aim to follow this schedule is to motivate you and make you do something you have been planning on doing. By following this schedule and achieving some results in ten minutes, you may get a much needed push to do your job effectively and in short time instead of spending hours on it and eventually putting it off.
