Tonido Makes Sharing Easier

Tonido, a personal cloud, launched by CodeLathe has made sharing of data a lot easier than before as users will now be able to access and use their smartphone files on their computers and vice versa without having restrictions in terms of file size or overall space.

This cloud is available for desktop computers as well as for smartphones and tablets, and allows users to access their data from any part of the world. Also, it understands the difficulty in playing files of different formats. One cannot play a media file from their computer on their smartphone if the format is not supported. However, this new app translates the formats into an accessible format and hence can be used by any device without any problem.

Quoting CodeLathe CEO Madhan Kanagavel, John Koetsier of VentureBeat wrote recently:

“We’re not trying to replace the public cloud; we’re augmenting it. Users will never be in a position where everything is available online … they’ll still have local stuff. The personal cloud augments public cloud services by allowing direct access to your device’s files, media, and music.”

Kanagavel went on and said about the formats:

“Essentially, whatever format you have, we make sure it’s playable on whatever device you have.”

The service is free for all and everyone from any part of the world can access it. However, those who need some special services such as personal accounts to share data that cannot be made public might have to pay some amount to keep availing the service.
