Toronto Based Startup Kira Talent Joins Forces with Richard Ivey School of Business to Help Select Talented Applicants

Business school applicants face tough competition to get into coveted institutes and programs and normally have to go through an admission process which involves questioning regarding studies, involvement in extracurricular activities, marks obtained in undergraduate program and more. All these activities are conducted so the institutes can gauge an applicants’ talent and figure out which one is the right fit for the school. However, in spite of having complicated procedure educational institutes still struggle to determine which applicant are the best. Toronto based Kira Talent is a firm that helps in making that decision and the company recently announced its partnership with the Richard Ivey School of Business Honours Business Administration (HBA) program.

This will be the first time that an undergraduate institute is working with Kira Talent to sift through applicants. The Canadian startup will assist the Richard Ivey School of Business to find talented candidates by evaluating applicants with its video interview questions that are delivered through its online tools from all the applicants of HBA program.

 

Ivey will get another point view of the applicants with Kira’s technology that will help them in choosing the right candidate. Previously Ivey used to consider applicants after gauging their undergraduate marks, conducting a series of questions, checking out references and evaluating extracurricular activities.

 

Faculty Director of HBA, Mary Heisz explains that, “We pride ourselves on how well rounded our students are. Kira Talent’s screening solution provides us an opportunity to engage perspective students from around the world.”

 

The manager of HBA admissions, Jennifer Fawcett-Cornish stated, “We’ve chosen Kira Talent because of its clean and simple to use interface. The process only takes a matter of minutes to complete, from which we can get a more complete perspective on our applicants that simulate an in-person interview.”

 

CEO of Kira Talent, Emily Cushman said on the occasion that, “We are thrilled with our partnership with Ivey and applaud their willingness to take such a significant step forward to improve the interview process”.
