the myriad of mobile devices that are in use today have influenced companies in different sectors to adapt their own products to the changing needs of consumers. It is being reported that Toyota is working on creating a wireless car mat that the car owners can use to charge their phones. The device does not require the mobile device to be plugged in and uses magnetic induction to get the job done. The car mat will be included in Toyota’s $1,950 “technology package” and will be accompanied by features like radar cruise control and automatic high beams.

Analysts are predicting that Toyota will be influencing other car makers who should be adding similar types of technology to their own modes after the Japanese car maker launches their 2013 lineups. Rumours indicate that Dodge will be the next major manufacturer to be including wireless chargers in their cars.

Other car owners will need to wait before their favorite auto-maker launches similar devices, however there are a large number of options available on the market for current car owners.
