In spite of the fact that the Blackberry 10 launch is not too far away now, Twitter still launched an updated version of its app for current Blackberry devices. This latest version, number 4 for Twitter’s Blackberry app includes several brand new features.
As far as old features are concerned, Twitter has made them more simple, as for instance, the UI is more straightforward in this new version while also being more aesthetically appealing now thanks to the present “Fly” design of Twitter on other platforms.
In addition to this, Twitter has also included the popular “Discover” and “Connect” tabs in this novel edition of their Blackberry app, which did not exist in the previous version. Now Blackberry users can see all the interactions that take place on the platform through the “Connect” tab.
Checkout what the micro-blogging website has stated about the latest tabs it had added to the new Blackberry app:
“Now BlackBerry will have Connect capabilities on Twitter. New tabs, streamlined design, and simplified navigation makes this the most enjoyable Twitter for BlackBerry app yet. Connect shows you who retweeted, favorited and followed you, and gathers all your mentions in one place. And now it’s simple to filter mentions and replies to see only certain interactions. We’ve improved access to existing and new functionality. For example, the new Discover tab encompasses Trends, “Who to follow” suggestions, and an easier way to browse categories. You will now find messages, lists, and your favorited Tweets in the Me tab.”
The “Me” tab is basically an alternative to the profile tab, so in order to access their direct messages and profile users have to view this option.
