With the passage of time electronics manufacturers are swiftly bringing changes in their products. Sometimes they simply change shape and at times add a few new features to their products, sometimes they go as far as to alter both.

The important thing that electronic companies need to learn is that they should focus on making the designs of their products more practical (think Dyson and the amazing things that they do). The reason behind this is that consumers have now become more conscious of things and before buying any electronic products they not only closely examine its core functionality, but they also see how practical a design is.

The latest Spoutnik microwave from UK firm Fagor is exactly the kind of an electronic product that has outshined its predecessors and competition (the square-shape microwaves) not only with its new and practical design, but also with its easy and simple features.

Unlike conventional microwaves, Spoutnik is a round shaped, translucent and colourful dome that is stuffed with new features, which will give your kitchen a contemporary look. Besides being stylish, the Spoutnik microwave also covers less area as compared to the square-shaped units.

Moreover, its round shaped dome allow users to place a bowl or plate of food in it more easily because they can open it to a 65 degree angle with one touch that provides enough space to put dishes as large as 11 inches in diameter inside. Plus when the round dome is closed it stands 12.9 inches high, so users can put a long glasses in it as well.

Another benefit of the translucent round shaped dome is that it features an illuminated ring that stays red for the duration of tjhe items cooking and turns blue when the food has been cooked so users can easily determine when the right time is to pull their dish out.

Aside from this, the 65 degree opening angle of Spoutnik’s dome also allow users to clean it more easily as compared to its predecessor, especially when something gets spilled over when cooking without a wrap or cover.

The LCD panel of the Spoutnik is limited, but includes all the important features that are required for basic cooking such as low, high, reheat and defrost being one touch away. Furthermore, users can also preset cooking time on the device or press a quick start button like those featured on older microwaves.

The Spoutnik microwaves comes available in three different and vivacious colours, Green Flash, Ultravoilet and Blue Odyssey and you can have this 230V-50Hz consuming and 700kw power output microwave for £179, as currently it is available for sale only in UK.
