Famed German automaker BMW (Bavarian Motor Works) is offering the Swedish public the chance to win one of its new 3 Series Touring vehicles. All that is required to win the car is finding it on a Google Map of Sweden in a concept created by Jung von Matt.

The gamified search will use blue coloured BMWs to point competing users in the direction of the winning vehicle. Blue stars will allow users to unlock a greater map area thereby increasing their chance of stumbling upon the winning vehicle. Players will be able to log into a dedicated website using their Facebook profile information.

The competition will run for two weeks at most if no one is able to locate the car by then. Have a look at the video below to see what the search is really about. We think the entire thing is brilliant on both a technical and marketing front and wish the automotive innovator all the luck in the world with its Touring model of its popular 3 Series fleet.
