With the support of the government, startups in Canada have now reached a level where they are not only creating apps for foreign companies, but they are developing applications for local companies too. A recent example in this regard is of Waterloo-based Vidyard that has created an app for Vancouver-based HootSuite. The availability of video marketing platform in the App Directory of the Hootsuite dashboard is one of the latest integrations including Marketo and Eloqua that the social media site has recently seen. However, the best thing about the Vidyard app for the social media site is that marketers will not only be able to directly add videos to any social post, but they will also be able to access their own video library directly through HootSuit stream.

Vidyard believes that social media and video content is a great combination, as they can boost the demand for better workflows in order to share video content along with deeper analytics, ROI and functionality, says the Canadian startup.

According to HootSuite’s Director of Partner Integrations, Mark Holder, “The new Vidyard app for HootSuite makes it possible for our seven million users, including many of the world’s top brands, to easily manage and distribute their video content to social channels. Additionally, social media marketers can see which channels are driving high traffic, and how users are engaging with each video, allowing them to alter campaigns on the fly for increased performance.”

The cofounder and CEO of Vidyard, Michael Litt said that, “At Vidyard, we want to help businesses grow with video, and that means making it easy for all parts of the marketing organization to integrate video in everything they do. We already provide innovative solutions for the content creation and demand generation teams, so we’re thrilled to integrate within HootSuite’s App Directory to add social marketing and community management in the mix.”

Litt also said that, “Never before has something like this been available for social teams and it is going to disrupt the way social marketers select and share video content dramatically.”

By developing this excellent app for HootSuite, Vidyard has once again proved that the video marketing platform is quite passionate to help companies boost their business through video content. Moreover, the Canadian startup has once again showed that fast-paced environment is ideal for building such apps, as Vidyard always look to take its service to the next level with each effort in order to win more customers.
