Due to high rates of unemployment finding a long-term job is not an easy task. Some apps in this regard are playing major role in listing small, quick jobs that help users to earn money in their own vicinity.

There are a number of apps available for Android and iPhone users by which they can easily get quick jobs; but in this regard Gigwalk play a major role. Gigwalk is an application available on iPhone and Android containing a long list of small, quick jobs, or gigs. By using these apps a user can easily earn $12 to $15 per task. The durability of each task is between 30 minutes to one or two hours.

Typically this app’s users need to take pictures of different menus and products, or they have to make sure that the goods and products are in-stock and are properly displayed at the counter. Also the users need to set the stock properly, or listing the prices of the goods that a manager can easily understand these prices.

“Temp work has become permanent for many workers,” said Matt Crampton, chief technology officer of San Francisco-based Company Gigwalk, via Reuters.

Due to high rates of unemployment people are now working more in temporary jobs. According to the latest survey of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, last year there were 2.5 million people working in temporary jobs. The number is now raised to 2.7 million.

After Gigs, another useful app for iPhone users is Field Agent. This app lists short-term jobs such as research from home or also contains in-store research, collecting opinion survey, and checking whether the on-shelf is available or not.

Most of the jobs are based in the United States and people can earn $2 to $20 from answering a short survey to visiting to some restaurant or cinema to getting the response to questions about it. In order to complete this job people need less than 2 hours. According to the company there are now 260,000 users of this application.

Gigwalk users can easily pick up the job that matches their time and location. They will also get the notification when the gig of the user is nearby.

“If I’m shopping at the Wal-Mart and the app detects that I’m there, my phone will vibrate and notify me that I can make $12 answering questions about a shelf of energy drinks, for example,” explained Crampton.
