For BlackBerry 10 to become an instant hit, it is essential for the company to keep a strict check on its price and also to offer subsidiary, especially in the markets of India and Indonesia, if it wants to increase its market penetration.

According to Reuters, BlackBerry must launch cheaper version of its recently released Z10 BlackBerry so that it could get an opportunity to target these markets where there is a lot of room to grow, but at very low prices. Reuters quoted Melissa Chau, senior research manager at technology research group IDC in Singapore as saying:

“It’s clear that not only are India and Indonesia among the largest markets but in terms of future smartphone growth, they’re amongst the ones with the most potential. But the two devices that have been launched are not well aligned to the needs of these two markets.”

Despite a great launch by BlackBerry, it must be noted that these are still tough days for the company because it has lost its market value to a lot of extent and the new product has hit the market after a considerable time during which many other smartphone makers have jumped in the market.

For BlackBerry, the challenges are plenty. It has to compete with Apple and Samsung and ensure its new product does not fail. Even if BlackBerry provides better features and apps than Apple and Android-using devices then it has to entice the customers by offering low price, which is not easy. However, if the company has to promote its name and the new product it has to take some difficult steps.
