Too Soon to Judge BlackBerry

In just a couple of days, we have seen a number of reviews with respect to the new BlackBerry phones with analysts talking extensively about the future of the company formerly known as Research in Motion, now as BlackBerry.

There is no denying that BlackBerry has taken all the limelight by launching the new version of its signature product, but we believe that it is still too soon to judge its progress and determine the company’s future.

As far as initial reviews are concerned, we cannot say with absolute authority where the company is heading. A lot of critics have been impressed with the new BlackBerry, while some of them still think that something is missing. Moreover, some have stayed moderate; they have praised the new smartphone, but maintained that it is going to face a stiff challenge in the market in presence of Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy.

Also, the company’s share value declined on the day of the launch of BlackBerry 10. However, we still believe that it is not the point to speculate about the success or failure of the product or the future of the Canadian-based company. We base our opinion on the basis of the fact that the product is yet to hit the markets worldwide and the most important thing – feedback from the users – is yet to come. After hitting the UK market first, BlackBerry 10 will come to hometown Canada. In the next few days, the UAE market will be selling it, while the U.S. market is going to wait a bit to get the new phone. Once the smartphone hits the market globally, only then we can evaluate the actual progress of the company. To develop a near accurate view we need to get the answers of two questions: How many BlackBerry phones are sold? Are the users asking for more?
