Unhaggle, a Toronto-based startup, has gone into a partnership with Autoblog Canada which is owned by AOL Canada. The two firms are working together to give readers of the car based site an opportunity to use Unhaggle to purchase cars and other items from the marketplace. The startup stated in a press release that the new partnership lets Autoblog readers complete their car buying experience by locating some of the best deals on cars locally. Previously, Autoblog let their users choose, compare and search based on build and price. Now with the introduction of Unhaggle the same users have the ability to get in touch with local car dealerships that will get back to them with their best offers. This give the customer the advantage because the dealers will compete for their business and provide better offers.
Autoblog claims that if any of their reader like an offer received through Unhaggle’s proprietary technology they can reserve the vehicle and then visit the dealership to complete the sale. Paul Cramp, Autoblog Canada general manager says, “Our partnership with Unhaggle completes the Autoblog shopping experience. Complete shopping tools in combination with the Unhaggle buying process empowers consumers with the information they need to make the right choice and get the best offer.”
Radek Garbowski, cofounder of Unhaggle, also adds that, “Unhaggle believes buying a new car should be a fun and hassle-free experience. We’re excited to be working with Autoblog Canada to deliver an innovative car buying experience.”
Unhaggle states that it delivers an “easier, faster, and more transparent car buying experience for consumers and dealers through intelligent technology and data.” The technology firms also claims that it is Canada’s largest live online new car marketplace. That not bad for a firm that is just a startup right now.We should expect the marketplace to grow even more with the addition of Autoblog users and other partnerships that are likely to arise.
